SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Our qualified and experienced staff provides a nurturing and caring atmosphere for children of all ages at all times. Teachers work with the children to develop social behaviors that help each child interact with other children and adults through positive choice-making skills.
ACADEMICS
Our centers provide age-appropriate academic activities. We encourage self-awareness and independence while exploring a creative and structured curriculum through textures, songs, books, teacher guided worksheets, creative art and exploratory play. Themes are posted weekly and monthly and are modified for each age group to help each child achieve his/her full capacity of learning. We implement a letter each week, and a number, shape and color monthly. The program accents dramatic play, science, cooking, music, movement and life skill development. Finally, special attention is paid to celebrating holidays, learning about the seasons, and physical development of gross and fine motor skills. Each staff member annually attends 15 hours of additional child development and health related coursework to stay current with the latest teaching techniques and requirements.
SAFETY – HEALTH – NUTRITION
Each center has coded entry doors with individual codes for every family. There is an ultraviolet air purifying process as a part of the heat-cooling system at both centers. These systems kill 99.9% of the airborne bacteria being cycled through the chambers. Toys and door knobs are sanitized daily and selected items are also cycled through the kitchen sanitizer. We follow Oregon Child Care Division Rules and Regulations. All Staff have current first aid, CPR and food handler certification cards and have been cleared by the Oregon Criminal Registry.
Breakfast, lunches and snacks are prepared from scratch on site with fresh ingredients and produce. We use a nutritional and tasty menu rotating on a four week cycle designed to encourage healthy eating habits. No peanut-containing products are allowed on site.
